Well, "internal" means "if the modem has a problem, I have to switch off
the computer". Bad.

Then, the Sportster series are known to be broken with *some* firmware/
hardware revisions, and work pretty well with others.  So it's very
hard to give recommendations if the modem is a "moving target".

Please just send them to the list - I don't really care about the
Sportsters, but others might find this very helpful.
