Windos clients should be able to understand these if you name them with an
'AWD' extension. We use Hylafax, and have been delivering incoming G3 files
as email attachments with this approach.
The web page, then, would display the summary list, with clickable links for
d/l and view of the G3 file (AWD). Portability issues exist here, though
(say, non-Microsoft clients?).

You should be able to send HTML with an IMG tag that specifies the viewing
size (and resizability option?) regardless of the resolution of the actual
source, which will give you scaling on the client. And the client's cache
will address re-fetch issues.
