Hi,

I wrote a voicemail program for vgetty in perl using the shell script
interface. I am trying to get better performance out of it so figured I'd
rewrite it in c. Since the advent of the perl interface to vgetty, is it
advisable to write a c program to interface with it. Also, I noticed that
vgetty has a voicelib directory. Could I just link against that and use
its functions E.G. record, play, events, etc instead of the shell script
interface. I am just trying to get as much response time as possible with
this voicemail system so that's why I'm asking. Oh yeah, anyone here know
how to generate a dual beep with the shell interface, the beep functon
only takes two options (frequency and duration) whereas modems accept two
frequencies so that dtmf tones and other cool things can be generated.
