Not really. However, I posted an article describing my configuration
(and some other people posted something about using login + PAP),
maybe you can find them in the archive (presumably through altavista
specifying the host name).
If you can't find it I will post my config again.
In short:
CHAP exchanges an encrypted secret, PAP exchanges password in clear.
Thus for CHAP you need the password in clear, and for PAP it might
be encrypted (e.g. login).
Some people assign IP's to LINES, some to USERS.
