sendfax stopping after first page ?

till now i could only test my zyxel/linux -> nt machine with avm isdn card.
a fax with only one page works fine, but if it has several pages, only
the first is transmitted. the avm card seem sto hang up, and senfax seems to
take some time till it recognizes.  i'm told the avm card works fine for a
long time, so i'm looking at the new linux setup.

in what direction should i search ?
