Yep. Forgot his name (sorry, Eddie, my memory for names is bad) - and
I'm sitting in a train and can't look it up online.

It is not perfect, but it seems to work pretty well. The unix fax
backend could need some polishing (use "-F" to set the full sender
name, etc), which I have done but not yet folded back, but besides
cosmetical details, it's very nice, and Windoze users love it.
I haven't yet put it online on alpha.greenie.net, but if you continue
to have problems to reach the .za site, I can try to get it and put
it on Alpha.

Short answer: no.
Long answer: right now, only vgetty has any idea what a "distinctive
RING" might be, and the internal interface between mgetty/vgetty has no
way yet to query vgetty (RING is handled in the "mgetty part") for the
number of RINGs.
But it's planned. Maybe not for 1.1.22, but for 1.1.37 or so :-)
