mgetty 0.99 productive?

Ooops, I've installed 0.98 and I've looked into subdirs like fax and tools,
but frontends I've totally ignored. May be from time to time I have to reread
ALL READMEs ;-)

Is it a stable (i.e. productive) one or is mgetty since 0.9x following the
kernel numbering scheme with productive and devel versions on even
respectively odd numbers?
