Ok. We thought 100 ms wouldn't hurt when testing the cheap modem we
temporarily use as a replacement for our broken Zyxel.
Maybe this is unneccessary.

But I think I know a modem, where 100 ms are a real good idea: A "MDG
2400-21", a german Telekom modem built by Rascal-Milgo, USA. 2400 bps
max., V42bis, no fax :-). They must have been state of the art and
really expensive when they were new. A friend of mine saved 5 of them
from getting thrown away by their former owner. We plan to install
some of them in our institute, just for fun and for logging in to do
some simple tasks from home. Our universities modems are usually busy
so we have to rely on our own...

Bye,
	Michael
