Every now and then, this can happen, but it shouldn't be more than about
20 or 30 error messages. These are just line noise, that have corrupted a
few bytes, and the messages in itself are harmless (they just inform you
that a few lines of the image are corrupt).

If it happens for *every* line, you might want to try "g3topbm -r", but it
doesn't look that way.

No. It just saves them.

and JPEG either. But no, they won't help you here, because this is a
general problem.
