elite enhancement for CLI logging ?

could mgetty be changed for the E2864i setting the S78.2 register to 1 and 
then log/parse the :

RING
FM:622457008 TO:306000929

sequence into a logfile, timestamped ?


e.g. that it shows in say /var/log/calls.in :

Fri 06 Oct 1998 call from 622457008 to 306000929 ?


this way, an "incoming calls log" could be created.
