The first 11 modems I bought are model# MT2834ZDXb-u
The last nine I have bought are model # MT2835ZDXb
When I tried the atl5 atl6 & atl7 I was using one of the
older modems and it didn't work. After looking at the
book for one of the newer modems I found out that Ln
lists commands. So I tried it on one of the newer modems
and here is what I got:

atz
OK
atl5
B1 E1 M0 Q0 R0 V1 X1 &E1 &E4 &E6 &E8 &E10 &E13 &E15 %C0 #C1 &C1 L3
$MB33600 $SB57600 $BA0 &W0

OK
atl6
S0   S2   S3   S4   S5   S6   S7   S8   S9   S10  S11  S13  S24  S25  S30
001  043  013  010  008  002  045  002  006  007  080  037  020  000  000

OK
atl7
$A0 #A0 &B0 &BS1 $D0 &D3 %DL0 %DC0 %E1 %E4 #F2 $F0 &G0 #L0
&P0 &Q0 $R0 &R1 &RF1 &S1 &SF0 &T5 $T1 $V0 $V6 #V1 Y0
$MB33600 $SB57600 $BA0 &W0

OK

The older modems were supposed to be "UPGRADEABLE" to 56K
but not any more. I have been to MultiTech's site and
they don't list them as bein upgradeable.

The older modems report (MT2834ZDXb-u);

ati1
LT 33.6 MT5634ZDX Serial Data/Fax Modem Version 1.01

The newer modems report (MT2834ZDXb);
ati2
MT2834ZDX

When I was talking to MultiTech quite a while back one of the
techs told me he never hear of MT5634ZDX, another told
me that they were the upgradeable kind but they hadn't got
the code to work yet. This was before v.90.
