Sounds like you built a kernel with some other C compiler than gcc
2.7.2.3 - maybe you're using egcs? The kernel MUST be built by this
specific gcc version (2.7.2.3), otherwise it will fail in many colourful
ways.
In any case, I think this is a question that should be directed at the
SUSE support - they got money for it, they answer the questions.

Please make sure, both of you, that you use GCC 2.7.2.3 ONLY.
