There are a couple of chips that understand several standards for Caller ID,
and  a few modems use them, Nortel's for example.

Here in the UK (where we have 3 different standards - the joys of a free
market!) the only manufacturers that make modems that understand the British
Telecom standard are Hayes, Pace (a British make) and apparently Aztech. So I
would try these first.
