Hi!
I want to record a greeting message with my USR Message 56k. With
the "vm record -i greeting", and then transform the greeting-file
to another format: "rmdtopvf greeting | pvftoau > greeting.au"
but playing the au-file only produces rubbish.

On the other hand, if i take the recorded file greeting and I want to=20
play it back to the modem with "vm play -s greeting" then again nothing
but silence (maybe with some cnack crack) is coming!

Are there any hints? I found in the contributed dir some patches for
the new USR which store the voice-msgs in gsm format, but trying to
patch them in gives a lot of rejections which I cannot easily solve.

Finally, if someone of you have a working configuration for this modem,
(I want to have voice/fax/data-ppp support) I would be very happy to
hear from you;-)

Best wishes
Norbert
