version 1.1.18 don't pick up a fax call

Definitely :) - but then, you usually only do this for a day or two, and
then pick out the details that you need to know.

Modem says "incoming fax calling tone".

Looks as if it switched to 19200 bps here, which isn't expected.  Which
firmware version is that exactly (could I have a "mid /dev/modem" output,
"mid" to be found in the source tree in mgetty/tools/mid?)

Maybe this will suffice.  I'll try to contact someone at ELSA about it.

BTW: who is maintaining the ELSA voice driver right now?
