Who reports a_ppp

It a ppp and /AutoPPP/ conflict. /AutoPPP/ hids the username in a
different field. If the ppp session is started from a console (manually)
then the user logged onto the console is listed, else with /AutoPPP/ the
console scenario is pypassed and ppp session is started/negotiated
transparently. However, there is an /AutoPPP/ patch for ppp. I wraped it
up an rpm for my system. You are welcome to download it, however, the
ip-up and ip-down scripts that are normally in the initscripts has been
altered, thus you need to use the --force option to install the rpm. If
you just need the pppd then let me know and I will send it to you as well
although I really suggest you also download the src rpm which is there,
also.

After download do a:
#>rpm -qpi ppp-2.3.5-2.i386.rpm
I included some extra remarks in the header file.
Hope this helps :-)
