RH 6.0, Mgetty, and login hangs.

I have a P-75 I want to use as a login server (in addition to an ADSL IP
masq router) using a 33,600 modem.

The modem is rather generic, but has no problem connecting using a
standard commo program (like minicom)

When I use mgetty, it answers properly, and brings up the login prompt,
asking for the user name.

But whatever I type on the remote end doesn't make it back to the
server. It's as though my keyboard is unplugged or something, nothing
shows up on the screen, after a few minutes, I'm asked to hurry up, that
I have 1 minute left, and finally it disconnects.

But I see the prompt, so there's some communication.

I tried the at&c1 option listed on your page, in the "login hangs"
section, and it didn't seem to help. Any ideas on this one?
