I have mgetty 1.2.21 running on my Suse Linux 5.3
I deinstalled my original Suse mgetty Version: 1.1.8-20 rpm
lately and build the latest version 1.2.21
It works fine right out of the box. Congratulations!
But if I want to send faxes and run faxrunq I have get an errror:
(this wasn`t the case with my former rpm version):
/usr/local/sbin/sendfax -v 0209497393 f1.g3
Trying fax device '/dev/tty4c'... cannot open!
Trying fax device '/dev/tty4d'... cannot open!
/usr/local/sbin/sendfax: cannot access fax device(s) (locked?)
There does not exist /dev/tty4c and /dev/tty4d on my maschine
Modem port is set to /dev/modem-> cua 1
sendfax config is set accordingly:
fax-devices /dev/modem
I have read the Faq in mgetty concerning /dev/modem.
But as this worked fine with the previous rpm- version. I hope there
is a way of adjusting faxrunq with out modifiyng this.
I would rather keep things like they are and not fiddle around with the
configuration of devices in my SuSe-Linux if possible.
