Elsa Microlink Office problems ?

iI recently purchased an Elsa Microlink Office external modem,
it seems to answer and then hangs up (voice).

I guess I could upgrade the firmware to 1.22 (from the Elsa website),
however the modem's reporting 28.8TQV ? However it was purchased as
the office product (and the modem has mic, handset etc port). Is this
correct ?

Note: It's an old Sparc IPX (SunOS 4.1.3U1 with Jumbo serial patch
applied).
