Hmmm, maybe a speed mismatch between voice.conf and mgetty.config? Both
must have the same "speed <n>" setting (which is a bug, kind of, but it's
the way it is).

I use /dev/term/b, and that seems to work.

Doesn't make me too happy - the individual tries are logged with a
loglevel that's pretty low (too low to make sure what the problem is), but
to compensate for that, you've sent 10 tries. That's not too useful...
