sendfax and postscript

hello!

I am trying to send faxes with xsane (scan program) and sendfax.
Assuming (because of ignorance) I left the field for the "postscript
switch" blank.

That's probably the reason for the following error message:
Trying fax device '/dev/ttyS1'... OK.
Dialing 010050069791255586... OK.
sending 'faxproject/page-001.ps'...
WARNING: are you sure that this is a G3 fax file? Doesn't seem to be... 

Can anybody tell how I can tell to sendfax that there is a postscript
file for transmission?
