Hi,

I just released mgetty 1.1.10.

New features:

 - rewritten faxrunqd with better support for scheduling faxes to
many modems in parallel, and with preliminary support for "policy
routing" (send to *this* telephone number only over *that* modem
 etc.).

 - auto-detection of more modem types, including detection and handling
of some "common" bugs (FAX_USRobotics, and the "+FPS=2" -> ERROR
 Rockwell bug, for example).

 - uppercase/lowercase mapping in logname.c is now optional, and off
 by default.

 - mgetty writes user ID and parent process ID to log file (for easier
diagnosis if users run it from the command line or from non-root
 accounts).

Bugs:

 - on Linux, mgetty now works properly with glibc 2 (there was a problem
with the signal handling semantics, causing all timeouts to never
expire - nasty if your phone stops RINGing...)

WARNING:

We (that is, Marc and I) have moved our development tree to a common CVS
tree. I think that this version has all that the voice tree needs (it
compiles, that is), but it *might* cause more problems than 1.1.9. I
wanted to get 1.1.10 out *now*, so that I can start breaking things, and
couldn't test the voice stuff enough.

So: if you rely on the voice features, and have no time for experiments,
 *PLEASE STAY WITH VERSION 1.1.9*.

As usual, please test this stuff, and send comments and bug reports to
me...
