That's a good way to begin a serious discourse .... :-(

In my experience, discussions on "KJV Only" tend to be filled with lots
of emotional charges rather than much studious exchange. For those who
wish to participate in this rather controversial thread, PLEASE be
mindful of your brethren/sistren who are reading your words. Be
respectful of the other person, please. Also, my observation has been
that these things go around and around for quite a long time.

Not saying it's happened yet in this particular thread, just a little
preventive medicine.

I would also ask proponents of either side to refrain from less-than-
scholarly attacks of the "other side." For example, disclosure of the
opinions of Nestle&Aland regarding the the Word of God might be
relevant (if true, though they sound suspicously like the claims that
ol' King James was a homosexual, which turn out to be untrue).

A statement concerning, on the other hand, the various translations of
2 Tim 2:15 and telling us "non-KJV don't want us to study!" without
referring to what makes the non-textus-receptus translations incorrect
is not very relevant, not to mention that in this particular instance
it was misleading (the AV translation of "spoudaious" as "study" might
have been correct in 1611, but the Greek word doesn't mean "study" as
we currently know that word -- "diligence" is in fact a more correct
translation).

Thank you!

Lord bless you all.
