Also consider the unique aspect of the bolld of Jesus: while the blood
of every other sacrifice was commanded to be poured out on the dust of
the earth, for the life is in the blood, and the blood is the Lord's,
Jesus gave his blood not only for us, but also to us.  He said "Drink,
this is my blood."  The priests were permitted to eat the body of the
sacrifice, just as Jesus said of the bread, "Eat, this is my body."
But they could never partake of the blood, for it was exclusively
given to the Lord.  But the Lord's blood was already his, and needed
not to be given to him, so he gave it to us.  We drink the Lord's
blood (symbolicly, lest you think I am Roman Catholic!) in communion
as well as eat his body.  This is drasticly different from other Old
Testament sacrifices because we (we are the priests) drink the blood.
Drinking of blood is a satanic ritual when the blood is actual rather
than symbolic, and is from other than Jesus himself.  We are also
warned about drinking it unworthily!
