Bro. Nally commented:

<<Not entirely sure... but in your case (your e-headers says
that you're using a DEC system with VMS.... now... whether you're
using a Netscape front-end to that VMS smtp host, I don't know...
you did just fine. No headers to worry about that came through as
part of the body of the message.>>

And Bro. Masoner seconded that motion:

<<You do just fine Bro V.O. If you don't see the mail headers in your
reply message, then in your instance they don't get sent out.>>

Thanks, Brothers. However, I sent the message to which you responded from my
computer at work (like most of my posts to H-F) not from my home computer which
was what my question was really about. Although I have a few different mail
utilities I could use at work, I usually just use the generic little utility on
the VAX server (probably written by someone here at BSU). It is a little more
time consuming because everything is done with commands on the keyboard, but I
am accustomed to it as I have been using it ever since my days as a student
here. Sorry about the confusion, I should have been a bit more clear.

Anyway, the reason I asked about the headers on Netscape is because I have had a
couple of instances in which I posted from home (using Netscape) and my message
bounced around. Other times the messages went through just fine. Bro. Nally
mentioned something about messages being rejected because of mail headers, and I
thought that perhaps this was the case with me. If so, I don't believe that
there is anything that I can do about it on Netscape and will have to use the
other email program I have at home (Eudora) or log on the the Ball State VAX
directly. Or, maybe the problem was something else entirely...I don't know, I
am not much of an authority on email.

Thanks for your responses, Brothers!
