While research does suggest that people might generally do better to
eat less meat, no scientist I've heard of makes a claim of people being
exclusively vegetarian. Our digestive tract isn't long enough. We
have a classicly omnivorous alimentary canal.

Here's another thought: apparently, animals and mankind were all
vegetarian before the fall. It's not till after the flood that mankind
is given the go ahead to eat meat (Genesis 9:2).

Since heaven is basically a restoration of the Garden, with carnivores
becoming vegetarian ("the lion shall eat straw" - Isaiah 65:25, "wolf
also shall dwell with the lamb" - Isaiah 11:6) does this mean we won't
have steak in heaven?
