I have read some of the comments about Revelations 1:1 and come to
conclude that there are some errors in some of your interpretations.
First of all, the reveltion is about Jesus Christ not one given to
Jesus Christ. Doesn't it seem stange to think that God was giving
a revelation to Jesus Christ about Jesus Christ?????

Revelations 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God
gave unto him (who is him?), to show unto his servants(pay attention
to servants) things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and
signified it by his angel (the him of the first clause) unto his
servant (as in the first clause) John:
In other words God gave the revelation of Jesus Christ along
with other things to the angel, and the angel was sent and signified
it unto John.
In interpreting Revelations we should note that there are four
groups of interpreters. Historicalist, futurist, spiritualist and
those who symbolize everything. Revelations has happened and is
going to happen. Some things are symbolic and spiritual. We can't
say everything has already happened, nor can we say everything is
symbolic or spiritualized. We should be very careful in interpret-
ing the word of God not to inject any of our idiosyncracies. We have
a special warning in the Book of Revelations; if any man adds to the
words of this prophecy, plagues will be added unto him, and if he
takes away from the word, his name will be taken from the book of life.

Be prayerful along with careful. Sincerely, Jim Cape
