Rev. Blume:
> Hi all. I must say this study is certainly causing us
> to dig in a little deeper. Great questions and comments!

Me:
I agree, but let's not go too deep. The name of the book
is the Revelation of John. John THEN says that it is the
Revelation of Jesus Christ to him (John).

Rev. Blume:
> Look at the grammar of Revelation 1:1
and:
> Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave
unto him, to show unto his servants things which must
shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his
angel unto his servant John:

Me:
This statment makes PERFECT sinse if one inserts "John" for
the him above. Also, this ENTIRE ordeal was shown to John
by the ANGEL, and Jesus never showed John anything at any
time. John SAW Jesus at various different times and Jesus
SPOKE in the flesh and as the Spirit but it was the ANGEL
that gave "John" the Revelation. The Rvelation was that
Jesus was/is God the Father Himself manifested in the
flesh.

Rev. Blume:
> Jesus Christ. If the "him" is an angel then why is no
angel mentioned BEFORE the word "him" in the context of the
paragraph? It is incorrect grammar to say that somebody
gave something to "him", meaning an angel, when a "him" has
not been designated beforehand as an angel.

Me:
The "him" refers back to John in the title.

Rev. Blume:
We need to seek the Holy Ghost to guide us. And if men
were correct, as many certainly were, we will discover
that which the Holy Ghost taught us agrees with what these
men taught. Then we can say these men were taught by the
Spirit, too.

Me:
Agreed. We must not limit the interpretation to OUR OWN
experience and whether the Spirit makes us turn hand
springs over EVERY point. I am finding that God wants us
to communicate on this matter.

Rev. Blume:
> Above, the angle quotes Jesus , proving that Jesus Christ
> gave the revelation to the Angel. And Jesus Christ
> took it from God. I am not saying that Jesus Christ is
not
> God, but that SONSHIP receives from FATHERHOOD and gives
to the angel to give to us (Rev 5).

Me:
The Sonship is the MANIFESTATION of the Fathership, which
to me goes without saying. This is the Revelation.

Rev. Blume:
> None of these verses imply that God did not give Jesus
Christ
> the message to give to John through an angel.

Me:
Jesus said that all power (authority) was given unto Him.
In a sense
everything comes through Him.

I think we are progressing. I'm learning ALOT anyway!
