In an article today,2/20/97, the Palo Alto Daily News wrote :

"PAT BOONE'S TELEVISION SHOW CANCELED"

A Christian television network canceled Pat Boone's weekly gospel
music show after thousands of viewers called in outrage over his
foray (Webster:To ravage in search of spoils.) into heavy metal,
singer said yesterday.
The Trinity Broadcasting Network on Tuesday cancelled "Gospel
America", a 30 minute program focusing on various genres of gospel
music, including, ironically, rock 'n' roll and heavy metal.
Boone said the show appeared on 400 stations worldwide.
A call to Trinity's Santa Ana offices Wednesday night wang un-
answered. A Trinity official told the Los Angeles Times that
Boone has been invited to appear on the network's flagship show,
"Praise", to explain himself. In the meantime, "Gospel America"
will stay off the air, said Trinity Attourney Colby May.
Also, the Bethel School and Orphanage in Chattanooga, Tenn., where
Boone has hosted a charity golf tournament for 20 years, is
considering severing ties with him, Boone said.

How about this piece of news? Even the trinitarians are sick of
rock 'n' roll & heavy metal on the air. How much more should we
also keep this music out of the Apostolic Churches.
