Praise the Lord, Saints

Tonight, We had Bro. Ryan Crosley from I.B.C. at our church, He is a UPC
M.K., his parents are in Argentina ministering as missionaires. He
told us a story about mountain climbing that I found very profound. It
really told what I need more of. Read the story and you will see, it is
something we all need. (True Story)

There was this fairly well off young man that had decided he was going
to scale one of the higher peaks in the Alps. He hired 2 experienced
guides, to help him to the top of the mountain. One in front to guide and
one
in back to help if trouble arose. They climbed and climbed for what felt
like and eternity. When they neared the top, the experienced guide
said to himself, "I've seen this view so many times before, I think I
will
have the young man take the lead and be first onto the summit." He
asked the young man if he would want to be the first onto the summit, and
of
course the young man wanted to go first. They continued on for the
next short distance, and just as they reached the top, the young man went

to pull himself up onto the ridge which made up part of the summit. (Now
as high as they were the wind can reach unbelievable speeds and has been
known to whip men right off the mountain.) He forgot to do something,
the guide grabbed the young man by the coat and said, "No sir, No sir, on
your knees man, it's not safe up here for anyone."

Isn't that just like our daily walk with Christ? We reach the tip of
the next peak but then we hear that voice saying No sir, No sir, on your
knees man, It's not safe up here for anyone.

God Bless You,
