That was the joke; now for reality.

A politician is a person who passes as a caring advocate on the basis of
being able to turn out, after innumerable lying, an infinite series of
incomprehensive answers dispensed with micrometric precisions from vague
assumptions based on debatable figures taken from inconclusive documents
and debated in surveys of problematical accuracy by persons of dubious
reliability and questionable mentality for the avowed purpose of aiding
with compassion a hopelessly defenseless constituancy that was unfortunate
enough to elect the politician in the first place.
