I reply:
Prov 16:22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath
it!
Nothing happens without God knowing about it - He is in charge of all
things! A statement I am sure that you'll agree with.
So why not the language?
Answer: Daniel 2:31-45 We have the progression of history seen by Ol
Nebby. He dreams of Head of Gold Babylon bringing all nations under one
rule, Silver is next which is Mede Persia, known for trade, followed by
Brass which is Greece, bringing one LANGUAGE to all nations and then
Iron, Rome, know for building roads which speaks of access.
Jesus Christ was born in a time when all nations had a common language
Greek(thanks to Alexander the Great......NO, Thanks goes to GOD). The
Romans were known for building access, Persia with trade routes and
Babylon was instumental in building the many nations together as an
empire. What difference does any of this make...LOTS. God's timing was
perfect in that the Gospel message had free access throughout the world
in that all nations were under the umbrella of one empire with trade
routes established and roads built. But most importantly All NAtions
were able to cross the barrier of language because all nations spoke a
common tongue....Greek!
Your statement says God was not in charge of what language was spoken.
I strongly disagree. HE IS LORD OF ALL!
