Bro. Harrell:
> The subject of "DEAD" is coming up. One is dead when he
is in
> his/her trespasses and sins. That would mean that if one
fell away
> from grace, he is again "dead" and then the other party
is free to
> divorce...that's what I'm getting, and I don't think
that's quite correct.
Me:
ONLY FORNICATION. This makes the person dead to the
MARRIAGE and not to anything else! This is the ONLY
exclusion!!!!!!
Me B4:
> > Even after remarriage he could be restored to a right
relationship
> > with God but he would have to renounce his adulterous
> > relationship (remarriage) and live unmarried.
Bro. Harrell:
> HUH??? Are you sure? You mean that everyone who was
married
> while saved, then divorced, fallen away, and then
remarried and
> restored has to get a divorce???
>
> Let's read up on this one again. I've never heard this,
and that means
> a LOT of people are living in sin!
Me:
This is freedom for some and heartache for others. You
have a good point though. Let's be sure but let's judge by
what the Word SAYS and nothing else.
Me B4:
> > Question: Does anyone who has the Holy Ghost EVER
become an
> > "unbeliever?"
Bro. Harrell"
> I think we would have to analyze exactly what it is that
makes us a
> believer. Is it the belief that there is a God? The
belief that God can
> save? The scripture says that the devil believes and
trembles.
Me:
Yeah.
