Me:
TRUE! But in the meantime we are COMMANDED to live WITHOUT
sin by getting rid of it trough repentance and confession
to Jesus Christ. Think of sin as a coin. If I carry the
coin in my pocket I am "with sin." If I pick the coin up
and then after consideration wish to cast it away, I have
repented. It is then up to me to say "Jesus, please take
this sin (coin) from me."
Repentance and confession of sins by saints to maintain
their salvation is a doctrine taught in the Bible in great
detail but which has saddly been largely overlook in this
day and time. WHEN you sin, Jesus is faithful and just to
forgive them IF (did I say IF? yeah I said IF) you confess
them to Him. If you do not confess them to Him you are not
forgiven them. I have read and read and read and can see
where the Bible says to confess our faults, or WEAKNESSES
to ONE ANOTHER, but can find only ONE to whom we are to
confess our sins.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I confess to Him and He CLEANSES me from ALL
UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. This is what makes me SINNLESS! This was
written to those who were baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost BTW.
