I am not at all diasgreeing with your doctrine, nor am I advocating a
diluted message. Salvation is, of course, important to me as well.
My main point was that many Apostolics, past and present, fervently teach
and preach that repentance, water baptism and Spirit baptism are the only
full and proper response to the gospel, yet would not necessarily agree that
water and Spirit baptism constitute the new birth.
What saddened me was certainly not your strong stand for Acts 2:38. It was
that you would deny fellowship, and apparently even a place in the Christian
church, to another Apostolic (who might preach and practise the Acts 2:38
experience just as strongly) if that person's definition of the new birth
differed from yours.
