accident magnet

Several on this list know of the wonderful fun I've had this past 15
months, with two automobile accidents (one major with injuries),
vandalized car and house, a scary head wound on myself, and major
damage from a house fire (see

So, I'm sitting at a red light and thinking "Wow, it's been a whole two
months with no major problems!!" when I hear the lovely sound of locked
wheels on pavement.  I look in the rear-view mirror and watch a yellow
1985 GMC 3/4-ton truck headed straight toward me at about 40 mph.

When I called the body shop to get an estimate on repairs, the
receptionist actually recognized my voice: can you believe that??
She even has my phone number memorized.

I'm glad to be God's chosen, but as Tevye, the father in "Fiddler on
the Roof" said, "I sometimes wish God would choose someone else!"
