I reply:

As you study the KJV translation, you will find the overall idea of
restoration is sometimes hard to gather as the ultimate end of any
action, BUT that is the whole purpose of any such action.  

When Jesus speaks of church discipline in Matt. i.e. when a brother
offends you go to him, if he won't listen then take two others, and then
take it to the church and if he will not hear the church let him be as a
publican or heathen.  The whole purpose of which is not for any kind of
passing of judgement but for the restoration of his soul.  Every action,
whether it is turning one over to Satan or brought before the church is
for the express purpose of restoring them to God!  Any other motive is
sin.  We are to be Christ-like.  Aren't you glad that Jesus did not
judge you but restored you!
