In a message dated 97-03-11 01:52:22 EST, you write:

<< I thank God that He has seen fit to "work around" this
verse and has even lead some to Himself IN SPITE of this
 verse. >>

I have two ideas to adrees in response to this post...

First, God does not ****"Work around a verse...or do anything "in spite of
it."****
This scripture is just as much a Oneness scripture as on that a trinitarian
might use! This verse is not a hindrance to God that needs to be worked
around! God's Spirit gives the interpretation of the Word...and if you are
truly led of the Spirit, you will see how it displays the oneness of God.

There are three which bear witness in Heaven the Father, the Word, and the
Holy Ghost...Sure, if you took this one verse and not the entire Word of God,
you may be misled...however, if you look elsewhere, it is explained that "The
Word was with God...and the Word was God"...also, we find that "God is a
spirit"...therefore, this verse, when taken in with the others, is well
explained...that there are not three persons, or deities, but instead, three
*Elements* of the ONE God.

To further clarify...and you've all heard this...
I am A daughter, I am a sister, and I am a friend...but that boesn't make me
three people....those are just three roles, or elments of my existance...
SO, I find it wrong to say that the innicial scripture is not of God and is
something He has to "work around".

God Bless,
Jennifer
