You:
God's Spirit gives the interpretation of the Word...and if
you are
> truly led of the Spirit, you will see how it displays the
oneness of God.
Me:
If I, read the word "I" write a verse that says, oh, let's
say, "In the beginning there was THE ONE CALLED the
Word..." and publish this in a TRANSLATION, does this
ADDITION then become the WORD (infallible and uncontesable)
of God? This verse (1 John 5:7) comes from a MAN who read
this verse in a Latin interpretation of the Bible (since
there is NO support in manuscripts BEFORE the 1500's) in
the EARLY 1500's who THEN translated the Latin writen by a
MAN into Greek.
In my example above the phrase "the one called" was added
in the NIV (John 1:1) and there is NO, NOT ANY, NONE basis
in the original text. This is the origin of 1 John 5:7 and
if it is wrong to do it now it was wrong to do it then.
The documentation on this can be found, not readily but
it's out there. I find it interesting that in the
Scoffield Bible that he, one who insists on exact and
strict adherance to the old/best manuscripts, saw fit to
ignore this one.
I have heard things that are totally false and "God" has
GIVEN me truth from it.
You:
> To further clarify...and you've all heard this...
> I am A daughter, I am a sister, and I am a friend...but
that boesn't make me
> three people....those are just three roles, or elments of
my existance...
Me:
With all due respect, this is what YOU say of the verse,
and I agree with YOU, but the verse SAYS that the Father is
one that bears witness, the Word is ANOTHER and the Holy
Ghost is yet ANOTHER and that these THREE are one.
You:
> SO, I find it wrong to say that the innicial scripture is
not of God and is
> something He has to "work around".
Me:
This verse is CLEARLY NOT OF GOD, and God works "around"
false interpretations and false prophecies ALL THE TIME.
Why should it surprise anyone that He has done this in the
King James
*"VERSION"* of the Bible?
I find the referense to whether I am Spirit led or not
highly offensive
and would say that it is dangerous to label ANYONE who
disagrees
as "unSpiritual" even Trinitarians. Be VERY careful in
saying someone is not "led of the Spirit." Since when does
the Spirit honor lies? God takes the bad things that Satan
devises and TURNS them to His purposes but if this man in
the 1500's has the right to alter the Bible then so does
anyone else today.
I don't think this is what you had in mind.
Take it from someone who knows my beloved sister, passion
is GREAT and NEVER lose it, but seek to aquire the restaint
that shapes and molds this passion into the thing of beauty
that only God can sculpt. This is not easy but it is worth
it.
