Agreed:

Granted all states are not the same but most insurance companies are now
required by state law to split up the damages into anywhere from 2-7
categories. just as your cverags are split up. Thus, when the adjuster
comes out to look at your car, and he gives you a check for it he is
paying off the PD (Property Damage) part of the claim.
Most BI (Bodily Injury) claims go on for weeks and months and even years
because of rehabilitory measures, and not to mention Dr. releases. You
should in every instance look carefully at all of the papers before you
sign, take them to your agent or lawyer for interpetation, and be sure
that they are not trying to pull one over on you. The company
I sell for as an agent, Farmers Insurance Group, actually has you meet
with 2-3 different claims adjusters on any multi-damage claim, so as to
seperate to damages
and to eliminate the confusion in the damage settlement proceedings.
It is not wrong to go into a court settlement against a company that is
not doing business in an ethical manner. I have advised several insureds
or mine to do so. I think the Bible speaks alot more of operating not
only our lives but our business fairly that it does against going to
settle at the law. In another light, that doesn't give you permission to
fake pain, in attempt to win extra through deception. That Is Against The
Scripture.....
God Bless You,
