Oops! Not the NIV!

On my post about 1 John 5:7 I said that the phrase "the one
called the Word" (John 1:1) was a quote from the NIV but
that is wrong.  This is from another NEW translation and
not the NIV.  Don't
think that I am endorsing the NIV since there are
distortions at least as bad as this but this particular
reference was incorrect.
