Bro. Reed wrote the line above in response to my post on
persecution and I would like to answer it in light of the
situation with my parents and to the group.  I thank God
for your prayers and concerns in advance.  

Me:
Pray for my family.  I thank God for you my brother!

Jesus has been here for me right along.  My sister asked
yesterday, "Tim, is there a God?"  I answered without
hesitation "Yes."  She said, "Are you sure?"  again "Yes,
absolutely sure."  The rest of the family was there.

I have always said that if God is in charge when you have
just preached a sermon and 50 people rush to the altar to
recieve the Holy Ghost (the precious Spirit of God) then He
is still in charge when they call and say your dad has
killed your mom who never hurt ANYBODY, and himself whom
you loved in spite of himself.

Neither was saved.  God is just.  There is nothing we can
do for the dead but God has put me here for the living.  As
to what any of us can do, my daughter made a very profound
statement one day.  I had ask her just what she thought in
her own opinion would be the one thing that I could do to
help her in her troubled teen years that were approaching
and she said "Just BE THERE."


What shall I say now?  Shall I change my stance on
salvation so my mom, my precious, precious mom would be
saved?  I cannot. 

I loved her, OH HOW I LOVED HER!  God loved her more and
died for her; and my dad.  They both chose to let that be
in vain.
It hurts me but God is still GOOD.  He made the sacrifice
KNOWING they would refuse.  Pray that I remain and that the
sacrifice of my beloved Saviour be NOT in vain.

Philippians 4, "6 Be careful for nothing; but in every
thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus."  

Pray for me.
