Points to Ponder in my house

Bro. Blume, I agree with you to a large extent. It is a matter of
teaching, not using these things as a means to beat people over the head. I
don't raise any day above another, all days belong unto God. I might eat meat
that was offered to idols, but I am not going to bring that same meat and use
it as a offering to my God either. Or for that matter use it in worship to my
God. In the same sense being in this world and subject to its rules to a
great extent my message is not primarily against pagan holidays, its a
message of hope through the Gospel (Acts of the Apostles) , however in
instruction to the Saints of the most high God I feel it necessary to teach
on these things in regards to our worship of the King of Kings. I will not
have a Easter service or any other pagan service for that matter as a tool to
reach sinners. But it would be contraproductive to go on a mission to abolish
these days off of the face of the earth. I would have a hard time making the
outside world understand my position, when it is pretty difficult task
explaining it to born again christians who either don't see it, or don't
care one way or another where these days originated from. I get paid days off
of work for these same days, people will come up and ask me what I am doing
special this year in regards to these days and my response is usually that we
are doing what we usually do, of which they have no idea at all. So I am not
trying to be offensive to the world at large, just trying to Pastor some
people here who love God and care how he feels about such things. Thank you
for your response and I hope that I was able to explain my position without
offending you in any way. God Bless.
