Folk,
I just made a discover about the date the Book of Revelation:
"measure the temple and the alter and them that worship therein
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure
it not. for it given unto the Gentiles and the holy city shall be treaded
under foot in forty and two months."
It seems that revelation was written exactly 3 years six months before the
Gentiles destroyed Jerusalem, and from Revelation 1:10 the book was
written in a single day.
I am aware that Irraenaeus claimed the book was written in the year 95 by
the same author as the Gosple of John, but Irraenaeus was trying to prove
the Catholic Church of that day had an infallible tradition, so he took
rumors he had heard as part of this tradition.
I think he was cappable of errors. Other opinions are welcome.
