Young's Literal uses the T.R. The KJV (*and* the NIV!) incorrectly
translates the article "the," which Young correctly translated "a."
The correct reading is "A way of salvation" _not_ "THE way of salvation."
As per Bro. Richard Masoner

Me: Jim Cape;
Bro. Richard, as you stated in your post, Jesus is THE WAY.
Agreed. Your commenting about the damsel following Paul and saying,
"these men...show us The way of salvation, is one that needs careful
consideration. I believe that it is written correctly in the KJV.
Any time that devil came in contact with Jesus in the Bible, he
recognized the Lord. He couldn't help but recognize the one that
had created everything in the beginning. Matthew 8:28 (two possess-
ed with devils) vs.29 And, behold, they cried out, What have we to
do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to tor-
ment us before the time?
Mark 1:24-Saying, let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou
Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee whou thou
art, the Holy One of God. (Why would a devil confess to know Jesus?)

Other passages that show the devil crying out that he knows who
Jesus is are found in Mk.3:11, Lu.4:41, Acts 19:15. When it comes
to the TRUTH, the devil can't deny HIM nor the things associated
with him. If it were o.k. to say a way of salvation, then many people
around would not know that there is but only ONE WAY of salvation.
The devil couldn't deny the way of salvation, seeing as the plan
had already been completed. The spirit in the woman had to recognize
the Spirit within the apostles and in recognizing had to denote the
way.
Phillipians 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in
pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice,
yea, and will rejoice.
So, in closing, Jesus did say, "I am the way". So, it would be only
right for the defeated foe to declare "the way" seeing as he knows
Jesus.
                                Serving the Ressurected Lord,
                                Jim Cape
