Un-Official Ethiopia Report 1997

As	we traveled down the familiar path that led us to the crusade sight
where God has performed so many miracles, my mind could not help but
remember the glorious events of the past seven years. In my mind I could
see those who had stepped up on the platform in Wara, Ethiopia and
testified that their blind eyes were opened, their crippled limbs were
healed or evil spirits cast out. I was thinking of how in the past,
Brother Billy Cole has been mightily used of God to speak the word of
faith and thousands have received the Holy Ghost. I was especially keen
to this because brother Cole having just come from the Philippine
Crusade to Ethiopia had suffered a minor heart attack and returned home
for treatment. Even in that we witnessed the great miraculous power of
God at work. The very Tuesday night Brother Cole began to suffer the
pain, many members of the team from America were awakened by God and
began praying throughout the night. Although we did not realize the
severity of this situation we obeyed the Spirit of God in intercession.

Brother Cole made a very wise decision to hold the usual prayer meeting
a day early on Wednesday. For the past six years, this "prayer and
planning session" had always been held on Thursday morning at Brother
Teklemariam's house. On that morning, although Brother Cole was in much
pain, we were able to fine tune our direction from the Lord for the
meeting. God once again visited us in a mighty way as several team
members gave prophetic words. Each member was prayed over and given
specific instructions for the meeting as directed by the Lord. It was
obvious that Brother Cole was in pain. Miraculously there was a medical
doctor who had come from the USA not only in Ethiopia, but in attendance
at the prayer meeting at that very time! After we finished praying, she
examined Brother Cole and began to advise to us his immediate return to
the states. After a trip to a local Russian Red Cross Hospital, and an
overnight stay, this advice was confirmed. God provided just what we
needed, a doctor to accompany Brother Cole on his flight home!

Although Brother Cole returned home the ministry he has imparted unto us
throughout the years allowed his impact to continue on the Wara,
Ethiopia. God released unto the team members the operation of the Gift
of faith, to believe that the crusade would be successful. We were
already seeing the sovereignty of God at work! Although we felt
inadequate, we had confidence that God would allow us to be the vessels
from which the word of faith would flow thru. On Thursday five of the
team members who had the experience of being on the previous years teams
with Brother Cole in Ethiopia, drove the seven hour drive down to the
crusade at Wara to open and speak at the crusade on Friday. God used
each man mightily to prepare the hearts of the people for His great
healing work and harvest. On Friday morning, back in Addis Ababa, the
other team members held a power packed prayer meeting in the lobby of
the hotel they were staying in. God sovereignly and mightily moved in
this prayer meeting as the all flesh and "personal agendas" were removed
and the hearts of the team were melted together in unity. In the hotel
at the crusade the five team members also met for prayer on Friday
morning and several prophetic words came forth as God performed the same
work. One of the prophetic words that was spoken was, "I have heard your
prayers, they have risen as a memorial unto me. I have released my
angles, the harvesting angels into the north, south, east and west to
reap mine harvest. I will reap the harvest I have prepared for this
hour. No spirit will resist this for mine angels have been sent forth
and I will reap mine harvest". This word was then confirmed by several
similar witlessness spoken int the previous days by team members in the
Phillippines and two visions that had been received the days prior to
the crusade. For the next two days God mightily rewarded our prayer and
faith. It was with great faith and  unity that we entered the crusade
arena on Saturday morning. After the first team member preached a
message of faith, another God chosen team member stepped forth and spoke
the word of faith for healing among the thousands present. God began to
move mightily among the people with healing. Then the Lord directed this
team member to instruct the people to lay hands on each others
shoulders. The moment the people obeyed, it was like a great wave of
spiritual electricity was released among the people as the Gift of faith
mightily surged thru them. The following miracles were documented on
this day.

Attendance: Approximately 360,000
Documented Miracles/Healing During Saturday Healing Service:
2- Blind Eyes Opened
2-Lame Received Strength and Walked.
1-Deaf and Mute Man Received Hearing and Tongue Was Loosed.
1-Woman With Huge Goiter Hanging From Her Neck, that had to be covered
with a cloth, goiter Disappeared In Jesus Name!
1- Demoniac Man Delivered and His Mind Healed.
1- Paraplegic Miraculously Healed and Delivered.
1-Tooth Filled.
2- Woman Prayed for by Brother Cole in 1996 and Their Wombs Were Opened.
One was
62 Years of Age!

(Please note, there were thousands that could not press there way
through the crowd to testify what God had done for them. These reports
were still flowing in when we closed the crusade.)

Later on Saturday afternoon after several more excellent messages by
other team members, the sovereignty of God moved us into a one hour
deliverance service. Our elder Brother Poling had given us the word from
God to draw our attention to Gods desire for deliverance. One young wild
man that had to be restrained with ropes and tied to a tent pole was
miraculously released by the power of God.

Sunday morning came quickly. This day was the Holy Ghost day! We were
all amazed as about 360,000 people gathered inside the arena. We believe
there were approximately 500,000 total on the grounds. God led us into a
repentance service. Brother Edwin Harper charged all of us to repent
before God. Everyone immediately fell to their faces. As the time came
to speak the Word of Faith we could sense that God was doing a great
work. We gave instruction to the people and then prayed with faith. When
the word was spoken the power God came down. There was a great witness
of Gods sovereign work in operation. We made a very conservative
estimate that approximately 36,000 (10%) of people received the Holy
Ghost for the first time. Several of the team members that have been in
previous crusades agreed that as many as 90,000 could have been filled,
but the un-official estimated is 36,000. The final number will be
verified when All Reports Come In From all Sectional Presbyters and
Pastors.

Our assistant General Superintendent Brother Jessie Williams who was
present at the crusade will be issuing a official report.

Brother JR Richardson our Regional Director to Africa preached after the
outpouring and was mightily  used of God to challenge Ethiopia to send
missionaries and evangelize beyond its own borders.cGreat Direction Was
Given By the Anointed Message of Bro. JR Richardson To
Release Missionaries From Ethiopia To All Parts Of Africa! It was
profound as pastors and young preacher began to come to Brother
Teklemariam and say God had dealt with them to go to another nation as a
missionary.

Nott only did God give a great outpouring of His spirit and power, but
many notable miracles
occurred and solid direction was given to the Church of Ethiopia.

Sis Wendell brought the elders of the church forward and reminded the
younger generation of the
sacrifice that had been made to bring the revival to where it is today
At the conclusion of the crusade a great rain storm came upon the
people. According to the Ethiopian culture this a sign to the people
that God had indeed blessed the crusade.
To God be all the Glory for this great work he has done!
