Me:
Welcome aboard!

I take it that you are of the "spiritual" interpretation
crowd for the
book of Revelation. I have read some of your writing and
must say
that it is "interesting." Our own Rev. Blume is of the
same frame of thought and I have been debating him on this
for some time. God has lead me to "hold back" to a degree
so that his message of salvation could be "exploited" but
it might seem that He is ready to "move on" with this
subject.

Just for openers and to let you see where I come from on
this and not to ingnore Rev. Blume, we are at a critical
point of our discussion, I will offer the following.

The "number of a man" mentioned in the book of Revelation
13:18
is a man's NAME. When one looks at the three symbols as
they are written in Greek, they represent phonyms as well
as numeric values. Chi which has a numerical value of 600
also has the phonym of "kHee" or "chee" and was the symbol
for "suplanter" or "usurper"; the Xi has the numerical
value of 60 and the sound of "zee" or "zuh" and was the
symbol of the zealots of Jerusalem in the Apostolic age who
killed those who opposed their religious beliefs and
finally the "stigma" with a value of 6 that was a puncture
wound placed in the forehead or right hand of a slave
(usually a "cross" to remind them of their fate if they
ran) which has the sound of "s."

So what you might say. When you put the sounds together
you get
"ch-z-s" and if you pronounce these as a word: "chezus."
Now the Greeks didn't have a "j" sound and the "ch" could
have also be pronounced "che" with a long "e" which gives
us Jesus. The great man of sin will call himself, or his
"number" as in a roll call will be the English: Jesus. Far
fetched? Try it this way: If you were to write the name
"Jesus" in the Greek, what would the symbols be?
Remember, we're talking about the "English" word "Jesus."

The signifigance of this is that the Greek was pronounced
"EE-zues" since as I said, they haven't any "j" and there
is no way that John could have known that this is how the
Greek name "Iezues" would be pronounced in English, since
English didn't exist in his time, I find this very
interesting to say the least that the "number" which is
also a word (name) when pronounced as a word (name) very
closly aproximates the English word (name) "Jesus". Couple
this with the fact that 600 (chi), 60(xi) and 6 (stigma) as
this is written in the Greek, meant nothing to them but 666
(the number of man written three times for completeness)
has a meaning to us here in 20th century America.

Now for the GOOD stuff. The symbols when taken together
stand for one who will "suplant" therefore usurping and one
who will be a zealot, killing all who disagree with his
religious view and will place a "mark" of slavery upon his
subjects (a "cross" in the right hand?).

Apply these characteristics to a man (the beast/great MAN
of sin Rev. Blume) and then again to another man (the false
prophet) and with the evil spirit along with this spirit's
"dark angels that these two will worship and represent and
you have the "Three-yet-one" that the whole world will be
looking for the day after the rapture since they
(trinitarians) will still be here with their "unified" WE
ARE ALL IN THE BODY religion and you also have the long
awaited Jewish Messiah (with Elijah to "proclaim him") all
neatly packaged.

Now add that God Himself will send a "strong" (fervently
effective)
delusion upon all that would not believe and that this guy
will tell lies and show signs that would fool us, and IMHO
you have the "mark of the beast revealed."
