Thanks for the kind words brother Tim, seems to me kids as well as big
folks will pick up on your sincerity quicker than anything. I believe
for me to be an effective teacher or witness, I have to project
sincerity wich includes GENUINE love, concern, etc.
I use everything from petrified wood,to a welding rod, to a lump of
pure sulphur for an object lesson, kids seeem to love and remember
object lessons.
Then the reward is when one of them writes you a private little note
expressing their SINCERE thanks for the lessons.
I have saw five generations since I have been in church, a mysterious
condition that seems to effect so many of our own is when they hit their
early , or mid teens, they rock and reel, and suddenly, almost without
warning -- they are gone. Then the reaction-- what happened to them, I
thought they were doing so well.
So much for that. My burden- once again is ----for our own. It is
sometimes a slow, difficult task. As the old saying goes," It is better
to light a candel, than to curse the darkness." It is so easy to get
an attitude toward a young person with an attitude, but I try to ask my
self, " Why are they acting like this?"
Thanks again- I could go on and on..
