These are the reasons why God gives us the Holy Ghost.

Without it ... we've no power to witness
Without it ... God can only comfort one saint at a time as he'd then
                  be limited by his physical limitations as he could
                  then go to us individually and sequentially.  With
                  God giving us the Holy Ghost, we all can experience
                  the comforting presence of God simultaneously!
Without it ... we're not separated from the world
Without it ... we're don't hold the promise where God's covenant is
                  written in our hearts ...

      Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will 
                make with the house of Israel; After those days, 
                saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward 
                parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be 
                their God, and they shall be my people. 

      Heb  8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the 
                house of Israel after those day, saith the Lord; I 
                will put my laws into their mind, and write them in 
                their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they 
                shall be to me a people: 

Without it ... God doesn't teach us individually
Without it ... God doens't guide us into all truth
Without it ... Gods' likeness isn't reflected in us as we are only
                   a reflecting surface whereby we shine the light
                   of God of the greater light-producing body.

Now.... with that answered.  What do we do that quenches the Spirit
of God?  Or is everybody under complete robot control of the Holy 
Ghost?
