me now:
Since yesterday I checked (I have colleagues in nuke operation) and the
units can safely shutdown in milliseconds. And if no problem exists be
back in startup in a day or so. This info is off a 1300MW units (a real
big one).
I have heard many claims of Chernobyl type catastrophes...in the US and
Europe that is not possible as the built in safety features will prevent
a nuke from going critical.
As I have stated before, the main reason I post against this
misinformation is that if this is so blatantly erroneous, can you
believe the remainder of the claims. I addressed Ken in a letter back in
the summer (I was a subscriber) and his response (after 4 letters) was
that I was misinformed and need to research my claims - funny thing is
that part of my job was exactly that, to test systems for Y2K readiness.
Lord Bless;
Bill
